Shipping Policy

1. The final determination of the travel date for the puppy is made by the puppy’s breeder and the breeder’s veterinarian, with the health of the puppy being the primary determining factor. Occasionally, a puppy may need additional time with its breeder before travel.

2. Our delivery caretakers work around the clock to ensure your puppy is safely delivered to you as quickly as possible. The lesser the travel time, the better for your puppy’s well-being. Aiming for the shortest travel time, however may cause your puppy’s delivery time to fall between odd hours, during day or night.

3. Transportation of the puppy is generally arranged through Whisker and Wagging Tails and may include third parties in both arranging and delivery. Occasionally, there may be delays for numerous reasons, including, but not limited to, weather, temperature restrictions, logistics, mechanical failure or other unforeseen events.

4. A person authorized and Twenty One years (21) of age or older must be present with their photo ID to accept the pet on scheduled delivery date. Pet delivery rejections and cancellations are not subject to refunds. Upon delivery of your pet, the transporter will require a photo of the pet with their new owner or authorized person.

5. The purchaser understands and agrees that no refund shall be provided by Whisker and Wagging Tails and/or its affiliated breeders due to any airline/airport delays or cancellations of the puppy’s flight, whether such travel is domestic or international.

6. The purchaser is solely responsible for any required documentation, health reports, or vaccinations that may be necessary to transport the puppy into any country other than South Africa. Once travel plans are confirmed, there is a non-refundable change fee of ZAR2700 if the Purchaser makes any changes to the travel plans.

7. Whisker and Wagging Tails shall not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any delays, including, without limitation, those that may cause the purchaser inconvenience or financial loss, nor shall any delay be a valid cause for cancellation of the purchaser’s purchase of the puppy.

 

Pick-Up By Foot

You are always welcome to drive to our home and pick-up your new puppy after making the reservation deposit. We actually prefer when you can personally pick-up your puppy whether you travel by car or airlines. But we also understand that this is not always possible.

Ship By Airline

Shipping is available to all Provinces and Countries.

Shipping charges vary depending upon location. Shipping costs include air fare, the puppy’s shipping crate (pet taxi), vet health certificate and a puppy care packet. The packet includes a bag of the puppy food that he/she is accustomed to and puppy care information. Delivery is typically counter to counter service. Puppies will travel in a pressurized compartment that’s temperature controlled.

 

Ship By Specialized Ground Service:

You also have the option of having your puppy delivered by van right to your doorstep using a Pet Transport service that delivers to all destinations in the country. Cost for this service varies for distance and location. This is the most convenient way to have your puppy delivered to you as the transport agency has well trained professionals who take good care of the puppy during delivery.

We ship to nearly every country in the world, however this does not necessarily mean we will be able to ship to yours. In case of uncertainty it‘s best to check with us before submitting your order.
